Recipe: Watermelon Popsicles

We've been warming up here in the midwest, and my daughter thought it was high time to bring home a watermelon.  I was cautious. It's May. In Ohio.  When we lived down south, watermelons were called "July hams".  The fella we brought home, folks, was no July ham.

We did what any good  summer-seeking family would do: we made watermelon popsicles!

Hooray!

They were easy, healthy, and delicious!

You'll need:
-Half of a large watermelon
-1 lime
-sugar (optional) - This is going to sound strange, but once I pureed my watermelon, it got sweeter! I'm sure there's some scientific explanation, but I just know that I didn't need to add any sugar to my dud of a melon!

Cut your watermelon in to large chunks and puree in blender.  Add the juice of 1 lime.

                                              

Pour in to popsicle molds and freeze.
