Essential Oils: Use during Birth, Pregnancy & Infancy

We're gearing up for a new series at LullabyU about Essential Oils.  Our first class (FREE!) kicks off this Saturday, June 14th at 2pm.  Read on for the class description and an interview with our rep, Rikki!

The Many Benefits of Essential Oils Essential Oils: Pregnancy, Birth, and Babies- Mothers will come together to learn about the power of doTERRA essential oils to help naturally care for themselves and their families through pregnancy, birth, and infancy. Moms will leave with new and safe ways to help with nausea, headaches, and relaxation during labor, colic, congestion, and much more!

It seems essential oils are growing in popularity. How were you first introduced to essential oils?
I first heard about essential oils when I was living in California. Everything natural is way more mainstream there of course! I have never really been one to take medicine and knew I wanted to find a natural alternative. After moving back home to Toledo, I found a free local class that was educating on doTERRA essential oils and I decided that day that I would purchase a starter kit for my home! It was love at first smell :)

What are your personal favorites?
I love lemon in my water!! I also use Lavender frequently to relax in the evening. A few of my other favorites are blends called DigestZen (for anything digestion related), OnGuard (to sanitize my home and for an immunity boost), and Past Tense (for headaches)!

Are EO safe to use during pregnancy? On infants?
Yes, one of the great things about essential oils is that you can use them safely for the whole family! There are a select few that should be avoided or used with caution during pregnancy and on infants. When using essential oils on infants, proper dilution with what we call a carrier oil is important.

How can readers best get in touch with you?
Readers can e-mail or call me with any questions or for a free wellness consultation!

After meeting with Rikki I jumped on the EO band wagon!  I'm regularly using Lemon and Lavender.  What about you?  Have you heard about EO's or started using any? What's your favorite?
