The Low Down on Nursing Covers

When it comes to nursing covers, you've got more options then you may realize.  Here's the scoop on some of our favorites:

Classic Nursing Covers:  We love this fully lined number by Itzy Ritzy.  The adjustable strap keeps the cover secure around your neck…especially helpful when baby gets a bit grabby.  My kids weren't used to being covered while nursing, so the inevitable tugging always happened when I least expected!

Swaddle Blankets:  We love the softness and breathability of aden + anais.  The Bamboo Swaddles are insanely soft.  For real.  Bonus:  This beauty is a triple threat.  Use it to swaddle your baby, cover while nursing, or clean up the occasional accident.  I've been using mine for almost 4 years!

Baby Carriers:  I've got friends who swear by nursing their babies in their carrier.  Pictured below is the ultra supportive and versatile Onya carrier.  I'm going to go ahead and admit now that I'm simply not that coordinated!  Just lower the straps, pull the hood up, and you're all set.  This is an ideal situation for the mama with older kids - keep your hands free and feed your baby?  Pfffff.  Yes, Please!

Have you encountered any less than ideal nursing situations lately?  There was this one time when I was on a flight, elbow to elbow with an older gentleman…maybe I should save this story for another time:)
