Have you wanted to make some lifestyle changes to live healthier, but found yourself in a bit of a rut? For me, once I start, I'm good. Great, even. A real go getter. But that getting started part? It's a tough nut to crack.
Here are some tips to help you get started on the path to living healthier:
1. Start small: If you're looking to change your diet to include more organic foods, choose one food group to switch over. I chose dairy. Start by buying organic milk and eggs. Next, I chose organic meats, and lastly, I added organic fruits and veggies. This way, you don't feel the financial burn too much, but you do feel the physical benefits!
2. Shop local: Whether it's your local Gym, Farmer's Market, or Baby Boutique (wink), shopping local is the way to go. And not because your dollars stay in your community, but because these community members are resources. Ask away. Send them emails. Call them. These people are passionate about what they do and want to share their knowledge!
3. Get friends involved: Looking to exercise more? Start a walking club in your neighborhood after the kids are in bed. (And another adult is home, of course!) You're creating your own support system and while you chat, you're learning from each other. That's a win.
