Now, I'm going to be honest. My family is a lot of things - funny, witty, healthy, blah, blah, blah. We are NOT an overachieving bunch. I totally attribute this early potty training success to cloth diapering. I've heard this to be true, but was surprised this was the case for my 2nd born. I'm guessing cloth diapers allow the child to feel the wetness more easily, encouraging them to train faster.
|The potty seat even came on vacation with us!|
Four weeks in, we're golden for pee's, but we're still working on pooping on the potty. We're 50/50 on number 2. I'm not worried. We'll get there. The best part about all of this is that he'll be done potty training by the time Fall hits, which means the poor fella can wear some pants around the house:-)
When potty training, I subscribe to the "bare bottom" method. That means no undies, no pull-ups, no nothin'. There's a whole lot of naked happening in my house. When we go out, he'll wear pants with no underwear. I carry the potty everywhere. Just ask any member of my community. It's almost embarrassing. It works for us, but I understand if it doesn't work for you.
What about you guys? Did you cloth diaper? Are you in the throws of potty training? It can be exhausting!
